Installation Instructions

Get up and running in less than a minute.

Windows Installation

Download the .exe installer above
Run the downloaded file
Follow the installation wizard prompts
Launch Snip-Its from the Start menu or desktop shortcut
Create your first snippet and start typing faster

Note: Windows may show a SmartScreen warning for new applications. Click "More info" then "Run anyway" to proceed.

macOS Installation

Download the .dmg file for your Mac type
Open the downloaded .dmg file
Drag Snip-Its to your Applications folder
Open Snip-Its from Applications or Spotlight
Grant accessibility permissions when prompted

Note: macOS requires accessibility permissions for Snip-Its to detect your typing. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility to enable.

Linux Installation

Download the .AppImage file above
Make it executable: chmod +x snipits-linux-x64.AppImage
Run the AppImage file
Optionally move it to /usr/local/bin or your preferred location
Create your first snippet and start typing faster

Note: Some distributions require FUSE to run AppImages. Install with: sudo apt install libfuse2 (Debian/Ubuntu) or sudo dnf install fuse (Fedora).
