Our mission is to help you record, organize, locate and share snippets of information that you photograph when not online. These snippets could be from many sources such as newspapers, magazines, TV, on a billboard, in the street, or at a friend’s house.
In providing this Service, we collect some information from you and this policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and what choices you have about it.

Account information - when you create a SnipIt! account, we collect your email address and phone number
Usage data - we collect and log data on how you and others use SnipIt, for example creating SnipIts and sharing SnipIts. We also collect and log data about the categories that are created.
Location information - if you choose to share it we collect your location information from your mobile device.
We may also link your subscriber information with data we receive from our partners to help understand your needs and provide you with a better experience. For example, if you create or log into SnipIt using your Google or Facebook credentials via single sign-on, we will have access to certain information such as your name and email address as authorised in your Google Apps or Facebook settings.
We care about protecting the privacy of your information. We use the information collected to provide, maintain and improve our Service, to provide troubleshooting and customer support, to protect the service for our users and to contact you.
We use your information to understand what features are used commonly and which features might need improving and which features might be added to improve the service
To provide troubleshooting and customer support, our team may need to access your information such as your account email address and information about the version of SnipIt! you are using.
To protect your account and the service, we may analyse the SnipIts you share to detect spam, malware or other security concerns. If a shared SnipIt violates the terms and conditions, we may block delivery of the shared SnipIt.
We only view your content if you give us permission or if it’s necessary to comply with our legal obligations. For example:
To test and improve our product offerings for our users, we use aggregated data that does not contain any personal information, does not identify any person, and cannot be connected to any specific user. This policy is not intended to apply to such anonymized/de-identified data.
At SnipIt!, we do not sell or rent your information. No financial transactions take place through SnipIt!, and therefore we do not capture any payment information. We do not share your information with any third parties for their own advertising purposes.
Your content is private unless you decide you want to share it. You can share information privately with other SnipIt users. Future releases of SnipIt will allow you to share your SnipIts publicly. This Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect this and you will be notified of the changes.
In future we may contract with third-party advertising networks in order to deliver relevant advertisements to you across the Internet and to manage our communications with you. We will not use your Content for these purposes. In addition, we may share with partners or Service Providers a hashed identifier to serve you relevant ads when you visit partners’ and providers’ websites, applications or platforms such as Google, Twitter and Facebook. You can find out more about the privacy controls applicable to these platforms via their own privacy policies. We will not share your information with government authorities or law enforcement unless we believe it is required to comply with lawful requests.
In rare cases, we may share your information as necessary to investigate or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, or potential threats against persons, property or the systems on which we operate the Service, or as otherwise necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
You can manage your information by logging into your account and editing your information directly within the app.
European users are protected by data laws. Under these laws, you have the right to request a copy of your personal information stored in SnipIt, you can request that we correct inaccurate information if you are no longer using the service, you can also object to the processing of your information in certain cases. You are in control of your data, you can delete this when you want. If you delete your information in the app, you will no longer be able to access that information. We do run back ups, therefore it is possible that your information will be accessible via back up after you have deleted it. Back ups are stored for 35 days.
You can delete your content and stop using the app at any time. If SnipIt closes your account due to a violation of our terms and conditions, you may contact us to request a deletion of your content. We will evaluate your request pursuant to our legal obligations.
Information is stored locally on your device and on our server which is located in the United Kingdom.
